Carsten Jörgensen, a Danish designer living in Switzerland, was the creative director at Bodum for 25 years. In this video he talks about his career in art, design and his passion for mentoring young professionals. He has achieved many great things during his career including teaching at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, cofounding the experimental School of Art called Atelier 12 and designing the majority of products at Bodum until 2003, including the world famous French Press, Bistro. What I admire the most is the effort Carsten puts into supporting young people and his motivation to 'give back'. It can make all the difference in a career if you have someone with his experience nudging you in the right direction and giving you much needed advice that otherwise might be hard to come by.
